Let Summer Begin!

Summer vacation officially started this afternoon. Even though Andy's graduation was yesterday, today was actually the last day of school for students, but fifth graders didn't have to go if they didn't want to. Andy wanted to go in for a while to give the teachers their gifts. We gave a gift to each of the teachers that he has had since he has been in this school (with the exception of first and third grade because the teachers he had are no longer there). I wasn't able to get a picture of Andy with his kindergarten teacher because she was in a meeting. When we got to school we noticed that the lights were out and it was incredibly hot in the building. It turns out that the air conditioning was not working - on the hottest day of the year so far! It was pretty miserable in there. It seems so strange that we have been counting down the days and yet now we are surprised that this day has finally come!
